January 2009 Archives
Wyatt had a great holiday. He spent lots of time with friends and family. He found Santa's footprints on the fireplace. And he spent a lot of time watching Scooby Doo. Nothing makes him laugh these days like a one liner from Shaggy!
We are, as always, touched by all the people who continue to remember Wyatt and keep up with his journey. Wyatt's friend Courtland in Northern Virginia used her 8th birthday party to raise money for The Fanconi Anemia Research. She asked her friends to bring a donation for FA rather than a gift for her. Thank you Courtland! The FA Research Fund does a lot of great research. We hope everyday for the successful medical research needed to help our little guy fight this disease. And thank you to everyone reading for helping us raise money and awareness.
Wyatt continues to do well. We still have a lot of things to sort out with his different doctors but we're hopeful that the tests will keep coming back with positive results. And I am hoping that after his March appointments, he might actually get a break from doctors for a few months. I might have just jinxed us but we're crossing our fingers for him.
Happy New Year!
