let's play ball!

| | TrackBacks (0)

Wyatt had his first t-ball practice last week!  So much fun!   We didn't have a lot of expectations for a 4 year old t-ball team but they were all surprisingly good.  There were certainly some funny moments; for example, Wyatt running straight past first base to the outfield..laughing the whole way.  He had no idea where he was going but darn it if it wasn't a good time.  He has not reached that point of having feelings embarrassment yet.  Everything is still just a party for him even if he has no idea what is going on.  It was great to see him out on the field looking and acting like all the other little boys.  No one there would have ever suspected where he was just a year ago.

Things are still going well.  Wyatt completed his endocrinology tests last month.  Everything came back normal except for his thyroid test - it was slightly off.  He has a retest tomorrow for those levels.  Fortunately, the thyroid problem can be controlled with a daily pill.  Much better than giving him a shot everyday.  But it was a little disappointing because we were so hoping for all normal results.  I always think that if you're prepared for the worst it won't be as disappointing....and I am always wrong.  It's disappointing even if you're prepared to hear it.

Wyatt is loving school and having lots of play dates with his cousins and friends.  And we're hoping that if all of his tests come back normal tomorrow, he might actually get a long break from doctors and most importantly a long break from 'pinches'.  So cross your fingers for him!

Thanks for reading!
